Best honeymoon we could have wished for! 🥰🐘
We were guided by Aruna, a very friendly and cheerful guy, who learned us a lot about the Sri Lankan culture, food, history. He brought us safely from place to place and adjusted our plans if necessary and always checked with us first. He was always available and helpful, in short a really great guide. We shared some great laughs along the way! Shan is an angel (and BL is the best)
Long story short, after landing in Colombo on a Saturday morning and having the most fantastic afternoon, I had to rush to a hospital - I had contracted an infection mid-flight that had spread to my right kidney. Shan drove me to Kandy to a modern and large hospital and stood by my side all night and day long. He was an angel; he made me feel safe and helped me arrange my documents/meds/etc. with the hospital team and my family back in Brazil. There are things that money cannot buy, and Shan's personality is one of those. And thank you to Blue Lanka for being there for me all along!

Sigiriya fort and the cave
Amazing is an understatement. The views were spectacular. Sameer who was our local guide gave a great snapshot of the history of the place.
The walk up the hill was worth the effort as we witnessed the wonderful sunrise on top of the sigiriya fort. The cave paintings are second to none. Really a privilege to be there
