If time allows, you can explore Negombo, including its vibrant fish market and the picturesque Dutch Canal.

Journey to Kandy via Pinnawala

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on a 90-minute drive to Chilaw to visit the sacred Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama sought solace and blessings from God Shiva. Next, proceed to the Mannavari Temple, the first lingam established and worshipped by Lord Rama. En route to Kandy, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

Explore Nuwara Eliya

Today, you will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya for a one-night stay. Along the way, visit the Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, constructed by the Chinmaya Mission, and known for its special Pooja ceremonies. In the evening, visit the Gayathri Peedam, a site believed to be blessed by Lord Shiva for King Ravana’s son.

Yes, we can incorporate Yala into this itinerary but you have to wake up early in the morning to do the early morning safari in Yala National Park.
